Services

Focused women's health care, in a calm and unhurried setting.

Robin offers a focused set of services she does extremely well — rather than the broad, rushed menu of a typical clinic. Below is what she offers, with what to expect at each kind of visit.

Specialty focus

Compassionate Colposcopy

A colposcopy is the close-up exam done after an abnormal Pap result. For most providers it's a routine procedure. For Robin it's the practice she's built her reputation on.

She uses Histologics SoftBiopsy devices — significantly gentler than traditional biopsy forceps — and takes the time to walk through every step before it happens. The entire appointment is usually around 30 to 45 minutes.

Biopsy results typically come back within one week. Robin will email or call you with the results as soon as they become available. You can also see for yourself any time on the LabCorp patient portal.

Routine

Annual GYN & Well-Woman Exams

Pap smears, pelvic exams, breast exams, and the broader well-woman conversation about your health. Robin's exams run longer than most because she actually wants to talk through what's going on — sleep, stress, periods, contraception, anything else.

Cervical cancer screening is done according to current ASCCP guidelines, with HPV co-testing where appropriate.

Contraception

Birth Control Counseling & Prescription

Robin prescribes oral contraceptives (the pill), the patch, and the vaginal ring. New starts are welcome — she'll talk through what fits your body, your schedule, and your tolerance for side effects, then send a prescription to your pharmacy.

IUDs and implants are not placed in this office. If that's what you're after, Robin will refer you to a colleague who specializes in those.

Confidential

STI Testing & Treatment

Confidential testing for the common STIs — chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, HIV, herpes, trichomonas — with clear results and same-day or next-day treatment when needed. No judgment, no rush.

Lab work is sent to LabCorp; insurance is accepted for the lab portion, and uninsured patients qualify for LabCorp's discount program.

Specialty focus

HPV & Abnormal Pap Management

If you've had an abnormal Pap or a positive HPV test elsewhere and you're not sure what to do next, this is exactly Robin's specialty. She has served as a Principal Investigator in several national clinical trials on cervical disease and is among the most experienced providers in Orange County for follow-up of abnormal results.

If you'd like reading material before your visit, see the Patient Resources page for handouts on HPV, abnormal Pap follow-up, and colposcopy.

Urgent Care

Urinary Tract and Vaginal Infections

A urinary tract or vaginal infection can be too uncomfortable to wait for an opening in a busy OB/GYN practice. Robin can almost always fit you in the next scheduled day at the office. If you are an existing patient and it is a recurring problem, this can sometimes be handled through Telehealth.

Existing patients

Telehealth

Available seven days a week for existing patients. Useful for prescription refills, follow up visits, or consultations that don't require a hands on exam. Most telehealth visits run 15–30 minutes; see the Fees page for pricing.

If you've moved out of the area but want to stay under Robin's care, telehealth is how that works. Many of her long-time patients do exactly this.
